Debt Free Plans - Make it Happen in 3 Easy Steps!

Make your debt free plans today and follow the path to stay debt free. It's wise to have a plan in place that will help you to overcome the spiraling out of control cost of paying back interest rates that are ridiculously high these days.
Below are three crucial steps to bring these plans into action. This will help you to reduce credit card debt and will ultimately tell you how to become debt free for good.

Step One

Write it all down. Have all your bills together and start a list. Put them in order of the largest debt on top down to the smallest. Make 4 columns lising the name of the debtor in the first and put in the total amount owed in the second one, the minimum payment in the third and the interest rate in the fourth. This will give you a good idea of seeing exactly what you owe.

Step Two

Priority time. Decide if you want to pay off the smallest debt first or the debt with the highest interest rate. Whichever you decide - will be the one in which you concentrate the funds towards. Pay the minimums on all others. If you can swing it - double the minimum payment on the top priority bill. Keep paying it until it's paid off, then move to the next bill on the list -be it the smallest in balance or the highest in interest rate, then apply all the funds you made on that first debt into this second one until it's paid off. Keep going likewise taking all the funds from the previous paid off debt and applying it to the next in line.

Step Three

Most importantly, while working on paying off debt, do not go into further debt. When a debt is paid off completely close the account. If you leave a credit card with a wide open limit, you are likely to charge again and wind up in the same boat.

Just stay on course, pay off the first one, and close the account, then work on the second and so on. Don't be tempted to pay balances with open balances on credit cards. Your goal is to get out of debt by paying them off with honest money.
